Over 23% of EU food import rejections are due to mycotoxins

With the rise of aflatoxins in peanuts and more mycotoxin-related recalls in 2024, we appreciate the international working group of the Joint FAO/WHO Food standards programme codex committee on contaminants in foods for tackling this issue. Their initiative is vital for improving global food safety.

Over 23% of EU food import rejections are due to mycotoxins, especially in nuts and nut products, highlighting the need for robust testing.

Our SMART immuno affinity columns, in combination with the FREESTYLE ThermELUTE™ system, offer continuous, automated sample processing. This significantly enhances Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) in the food industry. These technologies enable faster, more reliable cleanup and analysis, reducing non-compliance risks with food safety regulations.
These solutions are not only for nuts but also for feed, baby food, spices, coffee, and cocoa.
